Late in London

Will the best thing from our trip to England be that I can buy Vegemite?

I must say this, many more people apologise for many more things (even things that don’t need an apology) than I’ve ever heard in Germany (who seemed to have forgotten that they can use such a word or phrase when they might do something not so nice, even if by accident).

So, the trip? Yes. Yes. Oma and mumma took some trains to the airport with their carry-on luggage. I drove Opa and the boys to the parking place.

That’s when a drama was made from nothing. We believed, because the website said so, that the parking lot had an airport shuttle. And, I guess it kind of does… it’s just not the kind where someone drives you to the airport. It’s the kind where you walk with 4 suitcases, 2 kids, an elderly man and a pram about 200m to the tram station and then take the tram to the airport.

Opa didn’t like this idea when we started walking.

We overcame it, that’s why I can write about being in England.

Yay!
